Descriptive - our thriller shows the view of the killer looking at one of our characters, who then follows them home.
Functional - in our thriller we emphasise the fear of being stalked\followed, this could be related to toadys media focusing on celebrities, as they too are stalked to a degree.
Neale - an underlying pattern we have shown throughout our trailer is the use of typical thriller conventions. We have a shot of running water, which is well known from the film 'pshyco', as well as using restricted lighting throughout to represent fear and the unknown.
Sarris - the main style of our thriller opening is the use of dim lighting throughout the thriller. This has been used to show a sense of fear and 'the unknown'. This would be a common occurrence if we were to create further thriller openings.
Clover - we haven't used a 'final girl' in our thriller opening, although this would be relevant as in the final scene we see the killer from the characters point of view whilst he is in bed. This matches the conventions of Clovers 'final girl' ideas.
